Wren's Shop, East Knoyle
We are extremely proud of our village shop because we are so much more than just a shop.
So many people, visiting Wren’s for the first time, are taken aback by the variety of things on the shelves. If they can’t find what they are looking for on the shelves (we don’t have room for everything we stock to be out on display) they simply ask and we can usually produce it from ‘the back’. Wren’s has been described by some as a ‘treasure trove’ and it does often seem to be just that.
We are also a hub for village life. Our customers become friends, our volunteers learn new skills, we sell tickets to village events and we are a conduit for information. We welcome visitors, whether they are staying at local holiday cottages or just passing through on a day out. We deliver orders to villagers who are perhaps unable to get to us due to illness. We really care about our customers and our community.
