Early in 2022 our Post Mistress, Janeen Evans applied to the Post Office to retire. She has been our village Post Mistress since the day the shop opened in 2006. The thought that we might have to close our much loved and used Post Office was devastating and so the shop Management Committee took steps to take over the contract from Janeen. This has been a long, hard, and at times frustrating journey. However, we are please to say that the East Knoyle Community Shop Association Ltd officially took control of the Post Office on 9th January 2023 and employs Annie Ellis as our new Postmistress. This means that our village Post Office service can continue into the future and our thanks go to Ian Tait, Annie Ellis and, of course, Janeen for making all this happen. Happy retirement Janeen!
